Art Lebedev’s Air Crosswalk

The idea is simple, really. Art Lebedev have come up with a concept which mirrors the ubiquitous zebra crosswalk design in a lighting display above to clearly mark where pedestrians can safely walk — especially in pitch black, rainy or snowy conditions. Incidentally, it’s fairly easy on the eyes, too. The Air Crosswalk is set to be installed in Tumen, Russia next year, and hopefully on a streetcorner near you very soon.

For the uninitiated and/or impatient, the team also make totally sexy keyboards, whiteboards and umbrella (ella ella)s too.
