This is an oldie, but a goodie. Fantastic contraption lets you build contraptions from wheels and support structures in order to reach your goal of getting the pink ball inside the pink rectangle.
We recently rediscovered this game, and spent an obscene amount of time trying outdo each other creating the most poorly designed machines possible. It’s also available on the iPhone. Here are a few of our attempts:
I have played all the Halo Games and mostly loved even though I thought they were too short and now I came across this blog post that tells me they are making an anime out of it.
Great little tool to search your brand mentions globally across the social spectrum. As a free tool it does cover things well but has limitations to paid services in this area. www.socialmention.com Worth using as a start if you are embarking on listening to your brand online.
This little tool will find you Creative Commons licensed Flickr photos according to a colour code you enter. It’s really nice, simple and might save you a couple of minutes before your next presentation.
They also show a real sense of humour when you want way too colourful pictures
We just announced that Razorfish made the availability of the Razorfish Touch Framework (RTF). The RTF is software that makes it easier and faster for us to deliver multi-touch experiences across a variety of devices — in-store kiosks, interactive window displays, Microsoft Surface and mobile phone applications.
Check out http://emergingexperiences.com/ which shows a blog post on how we developed the application for Lonely Planet on Microsoft Surface. This was done out of our office here in Sydney @amnesiafish.
Been impressed by all the little RC planes and helicopters in the toystore windows of late? Hirotaka Sato and his team at Berkeley have gone one or two steps further with this RC beetle, and no, it’s not a volkswagen.
Instead of building a robot from scratch, they use the insect’s own flight capacity and control it with pulses of electricity to its optic lobes.
I liked my Atari7800, then my PS1 and now my Xbox360, but I really only used them one at a time and replaced it with a new one.
Some guy who appears to be loving Star Wars and his retro gaming consoles thought it would be best to throw it all together.
So he took an R2D2 cooler and turned it into a retro gaming machine! Inside are eight consoles and a even a projector mounted in the head just like R2D2.
I think its awesome – especially the projector in the top.
Starbucks is testing their new iPhone app that lets you pay using just the Starbucks Card Mobile app on your iPhone/iPod touch. Just enter your card number and your device will display a barcode you can use the same way as your Starbucks Card to make a purchase.
The app is currently being tested in Starbucks stores located in Seattle, WA, Cupertino, CA and Mountain View, CA, conveniently, the homes of digital powerhouses Microsoft, Apple and Google, respectively.
This app is an example of a revolutionary convergence between your wallet and smart phone. As well as a brand intersecting technology to shape consumer loyalty programs. Now the stage is set for Starbucks to employ an innovative digital couponing program. Stay Tuned.
I-Phone-Home is a new website dedicated to reporting on iPhone apps that “phone home”, or contact the developer over the Internet, without your consent or knowledge. In one case, it was determined a fairly popular app was phoning home to the developer with your phone number…
Disclaimer: Amnesia Razorfish in no way endorses the jailbreaking of iPhones.
There are no hot princesses, beautiful space-scapes or even inter-species saloons where man and alien can put aside their differences (tentacles) and relax over a stiff drink. No, the life an inter-galactic soldier – or Orbital Drop Shock Trooper – is an action-packed, dangerous and often short-lived existence.
Or so I’m led to believe from this awesome short for the new Halo 3 ODST game on XBox 360 titled ‘The Life’.
I’m not a gamer but I sure as hell want to be one now.
Obscura Digital developed a pool table that responds with High Definition imagery to every shot.
They are also working on a new software that might be able to tell you where you should shoot the ball at what angle etc. That would probably improve my pool game
Unfortunately price is USD 80,000 and that’s without the pool table.
There has been another update to the ‘Did you know?’ series. As always the information is fascinating and provides an inspirational look at convergence and the pace at which the digital shift is accelerating. I would recommend taking some of the individual stats with a grain of salt but it is a great presentation for communicating the bigger picture to clients and colleagues.
As Saturday was International Talk Like a Pirate Day, the Amnesiafishians took it upon ourselves to bring it forward a day in order to add just that little extra crazy to the mix. Check out the results:
I love it when old stuff gets mashed up with new stuff. Essentially at various points in this new book by Anthony Zuiker, you are given a code to enter on the website level26.com. The code ‘unlocks a cyberbridge’ that then gives you access to 3 minutes of motion picture footage providing more depth to the story and the characters.
To promote it’s Bodywear line, PUMA brings us a stock market ticker with a difference. Models stripping as the market goes down. The more we recess, the more it will digress. The lower the market value, the lower the morals.
I’ll stop now.
Comes in the form of an actual working application. Show a PUMA Sales Associate that you’ve got it installed and you receive 20% off your next purchase.
